Liquid Storm Goggles

While the Speedo Liquid Storm Mirrored Goggle might be styled differently than other competition-grade goggles, well-versed swimmers love the pair’s low-profile frame, panoramic lenses, and surprisingly comfortable watertight seal.

Competition Goggle

Designed for swimmers that are serious about their competition needs, the Liquid Storms prove Speedo’s ability to continually design elite swim gear that’s always a favorite among professional athletes. This uniquely styled goggle helps filter out glare thanks to their mirrored finish. Its wide panoramic lens maximizes peripheral vision, helping to keep your eye on the finish line. Add in the anti-fog feature, and you have a goggle that consistently provides optimal underwater clarity. The mirrored lens cuts down on bright light, such as sunlight, and the UV protectors help keep eyes shielded in outdoor conditions. If you’ve ever swam with some of Speedo’s other mirrored goggles, such as the Speed Socket or Vanquisher Plus, the transition to the Liquid Storm model should be seamless.

And, of course, a competition goggle wouldn’t do much good without a sleek, super slim profile. Designed to snugly fit the curves of your face, the Liquid Storm Mirrored Goggle allows swimmers to maintain a streamlined body position.

Liquid Silicone Technology

The Liquid Storms boast a liquid silicone seal. Essentially, this is a type of silicon polymer that’s renowned for its flexibility, strength and versatility. The soft and pliable material rings the sleek eye lenses to create an ultimate comfortable wear. The goggle’s hard rigid frame, in conjunction with the liquid silicone technology, creates a watertight seal that will last through even the longest of races and training sessions.

Additional Features

It’s always the little things that add up to make a truly great goggle. And the Liquid Storm has a wide variety of features that make the pair that much better than its competitors. The goggle’s integrated dual strap provides a secure fit, while its overall design makes it easily adjustable. But the head strap isn’t the only thing that’s adjustable. The pair comes with three nosepiece options to guarantee a custom fit. Keep your Speedo goggle accessories all in one place and safely stored in a hard protective case, such as the Speedo Goggle Case, complete with drainage holes that promote quick drying.

The AquaGear Opinion

Speedo products always test well in the AquaGear pool. Overall, the mirrored goggle provided swimmers with a crisp and clear field of vision. The interchangeable nosepieces were a crowd pleaser, although the smallest nose bridge was still not small enough for the narrowest of faces. With a little bit of adjustment, the Speedo Liquid Storm Mirrored Goggle became an extremely comfortable, customized fit.

The Bottom Line

While the Liquid Storm’s might not be the best goggle for the novice swimmer, their competition grade profile and mirrored lenses, complete with the comfort of the liquid silicone seal, makes these Speedos a product that long-time swimmers will truly enjoy.

Love these
Written by on April 12th

I confess, I chose these because I wanted goggles that would block the sun, and I thought they looked really cool. They work really well and I like the double-adjustable band that allows you to adjust the fit for each eye somewhat individually, as well as the adjustable nose piece. The only downside to these is that if it is really cloudy out, I find my visibility impaired. I may need a second pair of clear goggles for bad weather days.
