Hydro-Tone Hydro Boots are a great way to add serious resistance training to your water workout.
Ultimate Leg Workout
There's a reason that the Hydro Boots are trusted and used by Olympic athletes, serious trainers, physical therapists and doctors worldwide. They help give aqua-based workout programs a much-needed push to elite athletic standards. But you don't have to be an Olympic medalist to enjoy the boots' results. The Hydro Boots work by giving water exercises a 3 dimensional field of resistance. What this means is that you'll get a forceful amount of resistance and drag no matter which direction your leg moves.
The boot is broken down into three sections that attach with nylon hinges. Because the sections can bend and flex to your lower leg's natural articulation, the foot and ankle areas are able to stay properly aligned. This assists with overall stability and allows the user to have more freedom of movement when wearing the boot. Hydro-Tone has produced an instructional 40 minute lower body exercise DVD to help you get the most out of each and every water workout. The Hydro-Tone Water Exercise Boot System DVD is a must if you're a new underwater boot user.
Holds Up Strong Under Powerful Conditions
Made from high impact polypropylene, the yellow plastic sections of the Hydro Boots are designed to last workout after workout. The boots have been treated to be both resistant to chlorine and UV damage. And the foot and foam cushion pads are made from closed-cell rubber foam and are equally as durable. Each foot strap is hand-stitched and made-to-last. If there ever comes a time that you're in need of extra cushioning or a second boot strap, Hydro-Tone has you covered with the Boot Replacement Foam and Hydro Boot Replacement Strap.
Not quite sure if you're up to the challenge of the Hydro Boots just yet? For a challenging, though not as rigorous, workout, try the Hydro-Tone Mini Boots. These smaller and less intense boots are made from 5" wide sections of high-impact polypropylene and also feature three dimensional W-shaped resistance blades. Or, try the Hydro-Tone Mini Fins. Even smaller than the Mini Boots, the fins are made from resistance blades that are just 3" wide. While both models might be smaller than the Hydro Boots, they're sure to give you a muscle building resistance workout.
The AquaGear Opinion
Testers in the AquaGear pool were up to the challenge of the Hydro Boots. They immediately noticed that the boots' neutral buoyancy gave them a less cumbersome workout. While the resistance was perfect for heavy training, the neutral buoyancy kept the legs from having to constantly fight to keep the feet sunk. Swimmers remarked that the boot straps were well made and stayed in place during even the more vigorous of movements. And even with the slight assembly required before the first use, AquaGear testers said that the Hydro-Tone Hydro Boots provided one of the most intense leg workouts around, hands down.
The Bottom Line
For the ultimate leg workout in the pool, try the Hydro-Tone Hydro Boots and really feel the burn!
