Barracuda Standard

If you suffer from raccoon eyes or red rings post-swim, the Barracuda Standard Goggle is for you. The Standard Goggles by Barracuda are the ultimate in comfortable, mark-free eye protection.

Ergonomic Fit Means No Pressure

Designed in 1979 by Dr. Runckel, a practicing dentist and avid swimmer, the Standard Goggles have been a favorite among triathletes, fitness swimmers, and competitive athletes for decades. Combining his knowledge of facial anatomy and plastic molds, Dr. Runckel created the Standard Goggle to counter high-suction models that apply severe pressure to the delicate under-eye and leave behind painful, unsightly rings. His patented "positive pressure" technology applies no suction and simply conforms to the wearer's facial structure for a leak-free experience.

The adjustable nose bridge and strap make for a quick, simple fit. The closed-cell foam gaskets are super-soft and cushion the eye, rather than cutting into it.

The Barracuda Medalist is a better choice for smaller faces, while the Barracuda B300 is ideal for triathlons and those with wider facial structures. Need to refresh your current pair? Grab a Barracuda Repair Kit for an inexpensive fix.

The AquaGear Opinion

These goggles come highly recommended by our testers, our customers, and us! The foam gaskets are wildly comfortable and the endless customization possibilities make it easy to find the right fit.

The Bottom Line

Ready to ditch the suction? Try a pair of Barracuda Standard Goggles today and see what you've been missing.

Raccoon eyes goodbye

Good purchase
Written by on July 23rd

Like the fit in that it doesn't sit so (painfully) close in my eye sockets; that had been problematic with several pairs of other brands I tried. I still get marks from the goggles, but I expect that given that I wear them for 45 minutes to 55 minutes at a time. Overall, they feel good and do the job.

Best goggles I have ever bought. Never leave circles around the eyes, always swim before work and it feels much better going into work looking normal than if something just happen to me. I don't feel like my face is being pushed in when wearing them. Best investment made.

Excellent Goggles

At first I was a bit intimidated by the fitting of these goggles. But once I got over that, I was ecstatic. They kept the water out and the dark circles around my eyes from other goggles was not there when I removed these after an hour and a half swim. Definitely would recommend these goggles.
