Aqua Sphere Kayenne Goggles are designed for tri-athletes and competitive swimmers who want a wider field of vision than a traditional swim goggle, but with a more streamlined design than a snorkel mask.
Full 180-Degree Vision
These hybrid goggles offer the best of both worlds, combining a sleek, modern frame with wider lenses designed to give the swimmer full, 180-degree vision.
Like all of Aqua Sphere's goggles, the Kayenne (kā-yěn, pronounced “Kay-Enn”) is designed and manufactured in Italy to the highest quality standards ensuring outstanding overall goggle performance.
As part of Aqua Sphere's premium eyewear collection, the Kayenne has many professional features you won't find in other goggles.
Made With Patented Materials
The Kayenne's gasket is made of a specially-designed, patented material called “Softeril”. Softeril™ is softer than standard silicone, making the Kayenne an extremely comfortable goggle to wear, even during long training sessions.
The Kayenne swimming goggle also features lenses which increase the swimmer's peripheral vision up to 180 degrees. The Kayenne's lenses are made of another unique material called Plexisol™. Also patented and exclusive to Aqua Sphere, Plexisol™ is ten times stronger than glass and 100 times lighter. Weighing in at just 1.5 ounces, the Kayenne is not only the lightest pair of goggles you'll ever wear, but provides clear, distortion-free vision as well.
Each goggle lens is treated to reduce fogging and scratching. Additionally, lenses provide 100% UVA/UVB protection, preventing potential solar damage.
Quick Strap Adjustments
The Kayenne goggle's silicone strap and gasket ensure a snug fit for a leak-free experience. These swim goggles also allow for extremely easy strap adjustment; the innovative one-touch buckle system uses a simple push-button mechanism for quick strap adjustments, even while wearing them.
Kayenne swim goggles are available in three lens colors and a wide variety of frame colors. Each goggle comes equipped with a clear protective case.
Clear lenses are best for low-light conditions such as indoor pools and training facilities. Smoke lenses are best for bright light conditions such as outdoor pools or ocean swimming. Blue lenses are most effective in medium-light conditions.
The AquaGear® Opinion
The Aqua Sphere Kayenne is a good compromise between the hydrodynamics of a standard goggle and the field of vision of a swim mask. This is a very comfortable goggle and good value for the price.
The Bottom Line
For the tri-athlete who wants a solid, durable goggle with a wider field of vision than a traditional goggle, the Kayenne is the right choice. Get a pair for your next event!
