The Speedo Hyperfluid Mask combines patented technology with a highly developed design in order to provide a leak free, comfortable and solidly built diving mask.
The Hyperfluid Mask lens is composed of two tempered-glass windows, which provide ultimate clarity in and out of the water. The ultra durable material is resistant to scratches and surface wear, allowing this snorkel mask to go the distance. The mask’s wide angled lens helps to increase visibility and peripheral vision. Both of these factors are a mask-must when it comes to diving or snorkeling in open water.
The Speedo Hyperfluid Mask is sturdier than other masks in the recreational swimming category. It’s the interlocking frame technology that helps provide the mask with optimum support and rigidity. But while the lens remains sturdy, the soft liquid silicone skirt around the mask increases facial comfort. The supple material is gentle on the skin and forms solidly to the facial curves. By doing so, the mask is able to create a watertight seal ideal for snorkeling and diving. For something a little less heavy duty, but just as leak proof, check out the Tusa Geminus Mask. Its lightweight composite frame is low profile and features a 3D strap for ideal anatomical fit. Or, stick with the trusted swim gear brand and try out the Speedo Adult Adventure Mask. Its comfortable fit is ideal for recreational swimming.
Great for Underwater Exploration
Besides extra wide vision and solidly built frame, the Hyperfluid Mask design also includes a few other features that make this mask a great addition to your existing dive gear. The snorkel mask incorporates Speedo’s trademarked ‘Speed Fit’ goggle straps. These easy-to-use buttons allow for simple adjustments both in and out of the water. And the mask’s split silicone head strap furthers the mask’s comfort and security while worn. If you’re looking to take the Hyperfluid mask on your next diving adventure, why not pick up an entire set of Speedo-trusted snorkeling equipment. The Speedo Hyperfluid Mask and Snorkel Set comes with the mask and hyperfluid snorkel. Or, try pairing the watertight mask with other tried and true snorkels. The Water Gear Kauai Silicone Snorkel features a dry attachment to help keep the barrel free of water. With these two on hand, you can have both water-free vision and water-free breath.
The AquaGear Opinion
The AquaGear testers really got to see every nook and cranny of the test pool when they tried this snorkeling mask out. The Hyperfluid’s ultra wide lenses provided swimmers with excellent peripheral vision. And while the mask is great for snorkeling, it’s not really as low profile as other goggle/mask hybrids. The masks frame sits surprisingly well on the face, and even seals nicely on smaller faces. In addition to the fit, the Speedo mask was easy to adjust while on the go, which is a big plus for snorkelers and divers.
