My husband gave me my “dream come true” for my birthday.

I am a 53 year old swimmer who has been dreaming about underwater music since my competitive swimming days in the 60’s. I used to sing “I Saw Linda Yesterday” in my head in order to pace myself during 1500 meter/1650 yard freestyle events.
The 1970’s in master swimming came and gone with no luck finding underwater music for swimmers. I went on to swim open water in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1980’s, still wishing that someone would invent a mechanism that would stir up the boredom of long swims. Every now and then I would luck out and practice with a masters team who would share the pool with syncronized swimmers. With underwater speakers, I could hear the music but it was usually too far away to be able to make out the beat. I tried Speedo’s radio which didn’t work. I tried an underwater pouch that you could shove a CD player in, but the chlorine finally ate away at the plastic and it leaked into the pouch, ruining the CD player. The Finis MP3 player is wonderful! Not only can I hear my choice of music without having to change batteries every four hours, the sound comes through loud and clear! With the addition of the Finis MP3 player in my life, long, long, open water events are now a reality! Thanks to my techno savvy husband and Finis, my dream contraption has come true!
