The female version of the Rockstar goggle, the Engine Princess Goggle, is a great low-profile competition swim goggle styled for the Princess at heart.
Australia-based Engine has manufactured a sleek low-profile goggle tailored to the female swimmer with the Princess. These goggles are designed for minimum resistance, and generate very little drag, making them the ideal competition goggle. Still, the stylish design makes the Princess goggle alluring to the competitive, recreational and even non-swimming lady alike.
Beauty is only skin deep, but the Princess' liquid silicone rim is flexible, versatile and more importantly, soft and comfortable.
Four interchangeable nose pieces ensure an almost custom fit, and a seamless waterproof seal. You'll also have spares in case a replacement becomes needed.
A quick-fit strap means simply pulling on the straps at the back of the head to tighten both sides of the Princess simultaneously. Tightening the Engine Princess is quick, easy and doable while on the move. Each Princess Goggle comes with an extra head strap.
Smoldering Color Options
The Engine Princess Goggle is available in a clear frame and gold mirror lens; a purple frame and gold mirror lens; a smoke frame and silver mirror lens; a pink frame and silver mirror lens; or a blue frame and silver mirror lens. All lenses are UV and anti-fog treated for fog- and glare-free vision in bright light conditions.
Princess Goggles also come with a zippered and soft-lined carrying case to help protect your swim goggles from being scratched or the gaskets drying up.
To further enhance the visual clarity of the Princess, consider adding Aqua Sphere Goggle Anti-Fog for guaranteed fog-free swimming. And remember, regardless of how well you protect them, sometimes goggle straps break. The 1Line G-Cords Bungee Strap are a cheap, easy-to-install replacement strap available in eight eye-catching colors.
If you liked the Engine Princess Goggle, you might also like the Engine Rockstar Goggle, the male version of the Princess, with the same great features in a more masculine design. Also check out the Engine Weapon Goggles, a low profile goggle designed with racing and competitive training in mind.
The AquaGear Opinion
As with the Rockstar, it is difficult to see out of the angled sides of the Engine Princess Goggles, and this can lead to a “tunnel vision” type of effect. Still, the mirrored lens on all of the Princess models is excellent for reducing glare in outdoor light. Ladies with smaller faces, this goggle is not for you; the lens will extend past the eye socket, letting water into the goggle.
The Bottom Line
The Engine Princess Goggle offers a chance for a lady to stand out with their fashionable style, while the sleek design let's her still keep a low-profile on her lap times. Grab a pair of Princess Goggles today!
