This unique, patented formula also strengthens and softens synthetic fibers to extend the life of the fabric. Swim Mate effectively neutralizes the harmful effects of chlorine and perspiration. Swim Mate® is specially formulated for hand or machine washing your nylon, lycra, or polyester swim suits. Works great on cotton fabrics and blends. Cleans wet suits, scuba gear and bathing caps.

Adding Swim Mate to water releases an emulsified resin polymer that electrostaticly bonds to the fibers. It creates a protective coating while allowing the mild detergent system to lift out soil and chlorine. The soil and chlorine are removed and held ,suspended in the water, rather than re-deposited onto the garment- so each garment comes out clean. There is no soapy residue left on the fabric so rinsing is unnecessary.

Each time you launder your synthetic active wear with soap or detergent, especially in a washing machine, the fibers deteriorate and the colors fade. Weakened fibers are more susceptible to snags, sagging and tears. Colors are preserved and swim suits look new.
